Applicant was a young husband and father in his 30’s and a painter journeyman when he sustained this crush injury in the course and scope of his duties.
It’s taken several surgeries to attempt restoring his fingers and use of his right hand with 80% loss of function.
This case was fiercely litigated and comprised of a trial regarding treatment issues, countless arbitration hearings, AME evaluations, three doctor cross-examinations, two opposing vocational expert analyses, and two opposing vocational expert depositions, to flesh out the true nature and extent of the permanent disability of this injury and whether this injured worker could ever return to gainful employment.
